Why 37
空 — sora — is the Japanese word for sky. Thirty-seven is FL370: thirty-seven thousand feet, the altitude where long-haul aircraft settle in. Below it the air is busy. Above it the engines work too hard.
That band is the whole idea of the studio. High enough to see the route, low enough to stay honest about the ground. We started in 2019 with two people and a shared table, and we have kept the crew deliberately small ever since.
We work in one time zone, in one room, on one project at a time. Clients get the whole studio or none of it.
